Dear Families and Advocates,
As the province continues to see a decline in new cases of COVID-19, and with the easing of visitor restrictions for residents residing in Long-Term Care and Assisted Living, we would like to announce new visitation guidelines for South Granville Park Lodge that will take effect on March 21, 2022.
Changes to visitation at South Granville Park Lodge beginning March 21, 2022
-
Advance scheduling of appointments for visiting will continue. Please call and book your appointment with reception. Visiting hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
-
There is a limit of two visitors in the room per visit for each resident.
-
There is no limit on the number of times you can visit and the duration of your visit.
-
Screening of all visitors will still be in effect for contact tracing.
-
Infection prevention and control such as hand hygiene, physical distancing and wearing a medical mask will continue to remain in place.
-
Visitors are required to be fully immunized.
-
Visitors ages 12 and over will require a rapid test before entering the Lodge. Please be advised that there may be a wait time, depending on how many visits we have booked.
-
Outdoor gatherings may include fully vaccinated family and friends who have met the requirements for visitation (no symptoms of illness, fully vaccinated, rapid point-of-care testing). Masks must be worn at all times.
-
Visitors who are fully immunized must wear a mask in all areas of the building and in the resident’s room.
-
Essential and palliative care visitor designation stays the same.
-
We still ask that mealtimes are not interrupted by visits. Please do not visit before 9:30 a.m. and during mealtimes: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
-
Entertainers will resume as of March 18, 2022.
-
Social visitation will be suspended during an outbreak.
-
Visitors who do not comply with the safety guidelines may lose their visiting privileges.
In order to continue to provide a safe visit we ask you to continue to follow the infection control guidelines in our safety plan. For your convenience, current guidelines are posted at the front entrance of the Lodge.
We would like to continue to support social visits within the established criteria, as they have brought such great energy to the Lodge and so many happy smiles from the residents. We implore you to keep following these regulated restrictions so that we can continue to welcome social visits at the Lodge.
We kindly request if you can forward this information onto other family members/friends who may want to visit the lodge.
Please feel free to email Margareta Stavridis, Administrator, at margareta@sgplodge.com or Doreen Buksh-Khan, Assistant Administrator, at doreen@sgplodge.com with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Your South Granville Park Lodge Team
