About South Granville Park Lodge
South Granville Park Lodge opened its doors in 1969 and has been family owned and operated ever since. Conveniently located in one of the city's most historic neighbourhoods, SGPL offers all levels of Complex Care, Respite, and Convalescent Care. Our wealth of experience is reflected in all our daily operations and we maintain the highest quality of senior living.
We take pride in providing exceptional care for our residents through our professional and dedicated staff, many of whom have been with us since our inception. We nurture the spirit of family and community in our well maintained, comfortable atmosphere.
Founding Family Member
Before becoming administrator in 1997, Jeremy earned a degree in Business Operations as well as a diploma in Health Care Management. Inspired by his grandfather and SGPL founder, Jack Sicherman, Jeremy is proud to continue a family business that serves and supports families just like his own.
Director of Administration
Paul comes to us with over 23 years of health care experience. His diploma in Business Administration from BCIT and a degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Saskatchewan means he has a wealth of knowledge to share.
With both care aide and medical office diplomas, Doreen wears many hats and does everything from organizing admissions to assisting the nursing staff. She has been a key figure and part of The Lodge for over 25 years.
Director of Care
A big part of The Lodge family for 25 years, Zdenka became an R.N. because she simply enjoys caring for others. She expertly coordinates over 30 nurses and care aides at SGPL while still connecting with our residents and their families on every level.
Director of Community Services
As a registered social worker, Nicholas enjoys helping seniors improve their quality of life and his caring approach has a positive effect on both residents and their families. A former volunteer at The Lodge, we are delighted that he has returned to be a permanent part of our team.
Director of Recreation
An integral part of The Lodge for over 20 years, Carol is known for her cheerful smile and endless energy. She has a degree in social work and when not coordinating our outings and activities, is a busy wife, mother of five and grandmother of three.
